Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the next 33rd Annual meeting of the Network for European CNS Transplantation and Restoration (NECTAR) to be held in Naples (IT) 23-25 October 2023.
The Nectar conference will take place in the heart of the historical center of Naples in the suggestive “Santi Marcellino e Festo” Monastery, located in the ancient buildings of the University of Naples Federico II.
As usual at NECTAR meetings, the conference this year will bring together leading scientists across the world in the fields of neuroscience and regenerative medicine to focus on recent advances in modeling human brain disorders and understanding molecular mechanisms underlying disorders of the central nervous system, including neuroinflammation and immunomodulation. Moreover recent developments in cell and gene therapies for Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease will be discussed, as well as advances in gene therapy and cell transplantation approaches for conditions as varied as spinal cord injury, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and vision loss. The Nectar meeting will also provide an overview about recent themes ranging from 3D brain organoids to single-cell omics to foster fruitful discussions about – and increase the general comprehension of – the molecular mechanism(s) underlying human brain physiology and disease. It will also be a great opportunity to share recent discoveries in CNS research with industries working on the subject.
The 2023 edition of the NECTAR meeting features a prominent list of speakers lecturing at plenary sessions. Specifically, the meeting will include eight sessions on:
As usual at NECTAR meetings, we also have oral selected presentations and several “Data blitz” sessions which will highlight the individual research projects of NECTAR PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. Poster sessions will be also included and will be held outdoor in the ancient cloister of the Monastery.
Overall the meeting will provide a great opportunity to share new ideas, foster collaborations, and encourage young researchers in the field.
Please, visit this website to get more details about the preliminary scientific programme, the Congress Venue and the application procedures.
We look forward to welcoming you to Naples in October!
